Sleepy time has turned into HELL!

I don't know if it's teething or overtired or what, but DD is so hysterical, I mean the neighbors probably think I'm branding her with a hot iron,every single time I try to put her to sleep.

This only started in the past 2 days and absolutely nothing is different. As soon as I pick her up she calms down a bit until she realizes I'm not putting her down on the floor to play, then she starts back up again.

She slept fine last night, but getting her to go down is terrible. Last week naps were 1 hr 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Now they last 20 minutes.

Is this teething? or what? Because I'm at the end of my rope. I feel so bad for her because she gets herself so worked up, but it doesn't make a difference what I do.

Is she working on a new big milestone?  Crawling?  Getting into a sitting position on her own?  Those were two times when we had a bump in our nap and bedtime routines.  Just be patient, it usually only lasts a few days if that's what it is.

No, she's been crawling for over a month and sitting up on her own too. She's even cruising the furniture and pulling herself up for the past few weeks.

I'm just at a loss...I feel so horrible when she's crying like that and there's nothing I can do.

Is she tugging at her ears?  Could there be an ear infection?  I hope not but that's what I thought of.  GL!
