Caroline has hand, foot, mouth disease :(

Poor thing had a fever since Saturday and it got really high Sunday night/Monday morning. She alreday had her 2 year appointment yesterday so I took her in for her appointment and they told me she had ulcers in her throat, but they were healing. I felt so bad! And she has tiny red bumps on her arms, bottom, and all down her thighs . She even has some on her face. It looks like she has the measles! This is the first time she has been sick all year and of course she was supposed to start her swimming lessons this week!

I am soooo sorry! Just be sure to wash your hands super good every single time you touch her diaper. That's the fastest way it spreads. Poor little gal! I definitely know how she feels!

Did you catch it from G? I am so scared I am going to get it since I didn't know she had it until yesterday afternoon. I am good about washing my hands when I change her, but who knows what food I ate that she may have touched or things like that.

Poor C..that as about as sick as SC has been when she had it. We were fine though I was told by the pedi NOT to go to my family Thanksgiving dinner with 2 senior citizens present as they could easily get it, but we just used precautions and were fine. The pathetic part lasted a few days....poor C, get in lots of hugs.

I did catch it from her. Apparently, I'm a rare case in that I must not have been exposed to it as a kid! I've actually had it TWICE!

I've read that it mostly spreads through poop. I hope you already have the antibodies for it. It's no fun and it hurts. Take extra precautions since you're pregnant, too!

Oh no!! Poor Caroline! I think it's going around based on the symptoms...I had to pick Katie up early yesterday from daycare, as she had a fever and they told me that many kids (older ones - not babies) had been out for a fever and a rash. I wonder if it was Hand/Foot/Mouth?!

Now I am worried about Katie...they just chalked her fever up to teething, but I saw little bumps on her stomach tonight...

I hope C gets better soon!
