Cute kids just made my day

One of my favorite families was in the office for their dental cleanings today. When I was seeing the mom, she said to the 6 year old girl & almost 3 year old boy, "Did you guys know that Dani has a baby girl in her belly?" The 3 year old boy proceeded to walk over to me and lift up my scrub top & try to stick his head underneath to get a look. Hilarious.

Then, I had a funny conversation with the 6 year old while I was cleaning her teeth:

6yo: Is this your first baby?

Me: Yes.

6yo: Are you scared?

Me: Nope (ok, so I told a little lie Stick out tongue ). Just excited!

6yo: I heard that it hurts to have a baby. Do you think it's going to hurt?

Me: I think it might hurt a little (ok, another lie Stick out tongue ), but it will be worth it.

6yo: Yeah, you're probably right. I'll bet she'll be cute.

So adorable. I love kid's honesty. And, as a side story, when this little girl was 3 & her mom was pregnant with her little brother, she lifted up her mom's shirt in the middle of her cleaning to show me "mom's boobies that will feed the baby". She was so proud of them.

That is so cute! Rowen is always trying to lift up my shirt when he tells people about the baby. He also insists on lifting it up when he tells Phoebe goodnight at bedtime. Apparently he can't talk to her if my shirt is covering her up. Wink
