Okay we were recommended to start solids by pedi (even though I wanted to hold off as long as I could this time!!!) and I feel like now all I am ever doing is feeding someone!!! Can anyone give me advice on how they made this easier(timing)? And my two yr old loves going to the park.....any advice for on the go all the time? I was feeling this 2 U 2 thing was not so bad until the solids came around!!!
Re: Starting solids with number two
We're just starting solids with DD, her pedi wanted us to start right at 4 months but I was holding off. It really hasn't been so bad. When I'm preparing DS's meal, I mix up DD's cereal at the same time. I get DS started with his meal and feed DD while DS eats. Pretty simple. We have the Babycook and I plan to use that a ton as well. I use it now just to steam DS's veggies, and as DD moves on to food, I'll puree part of those veggies for DD so I'm cooking for both kids at the same time.
We go to the park a ton, there's one across the street and DS spazzes if we don't go every day or two. I usually wear DD in the Bjorn, but now that she's sitting up better in the stroller (and getting heavy to wear while playing on a playground!) I've started taking that along and parking it right beside where we're playing. That probably only works in a quiet neighborhood park, though.
