Hello - my intro (and a couple questions)

Hello ladies! I finally got my BFP and am "due" March 24. I am so excited and nervous. I go for my beta tomorrow. That will make it so much more real!

I have a couple of newbie questions. I am still with my RE. He will be doing the beta and I know that I stay with him for a little while but am not sure what will happen. What will happen next? Will I have an US with him before graduating back to my OB?

So excited to see you here Scherpa, there are a few of us 3T ladies here.

Your RE will probably run about three betas over the next week to ensure the numbers are rising appropriately. You will then have an ultrasound, sometime around 6 weeks (maybe a it earlier). My RE "graduates" me to the OB when they detect a fetal heartbeat, which I think is standard for most REs.

Another question: what is the "group" name for March? (like Jingle Babies or July Firecrackers)

Yay!!! Another TTTC girl!!! There's a few of us that have made our way over here, CONGRATULATIONS!!

I'm still with my RE too. I got my BFP on June 30, had my first beta 7/2 - a repeat beta 7/6 and then my first u/s at 5 weeks 0 days was 7/9. We got to see the gestational sac. I go back 7/19 for another one. Many RE's will allow you to "graduate" once a heartbeat is found and they think you're good to go!

You will definitely have an u/s before going to your OB -- if not a few of them!

Congrats!!!

i am still with my RE as well. My RE said they will not discharge me to my OB until around 12 weeks. They will do my first few ultrasounds and wait for the baby's heartbeat. once they see everything is good they send me back to my OB.

I am not with an RE (my OB is handling all my fertility issues for right now) but I just wanted to say welcome! If you want an badge they are in the 'march blog' in my siggy and yes, as pp said we are the Lucky Charms. Smile
