DH and I finally settled on a bigger car for me (Volvo XC70) and I found one locally that's at a great price point, in excellent condition and fully loaded (nav system, rear tvs/dvd, one touch open doors, etc.) However I had hoped that we'd find a car with under 20K miles and this one has 33K.
I put about 12K miles on a car each year so with something low mileage I would be able to drive it for the next 5-6 years and have it be under warranty. The higher mileage would mean that we'd likely switch cars in 4 years which isn't the biggest deal, but still something worth considering.
Plus it's granny beige. It's literally the ugliest color (IMO) that Volvo makes.
Husband says to just wait if I'm not 100%, that we have 6 months to find a car. But I just want to start crossing stuff off the list.
Would you wait to see if something better came around over the summer/fall or would you suck up the extra mileage (and color)?
Re: found a car - WWYD?
I would not either.

completely agree!
I'd wait too. I totally agree about the granny beige too.... I have a Volvo, and when I bought it, there was a GREAT deal on one that color w/ very low milage - I think under 12K miles. Clearly, some granny did drive it - slowly, and not often - before the lease ran out. I was sooo tempted, but I held out and ended up getting the silver one that I love and have never regretted it.
Good luck - you have lots of time to find the perfect one!
I'd keep looking.
We just bought an XC 90 after we sold my MDX. Like you, I wanted a loaded one (which is more difficult to find in Volvos for some reason). In the month or so we looked, we found several that fit the bill. Especially if you consider shipping the car to you if it's out of state.
I'd compromise a bit on color (or at least have a few options to chose from), but I'd pass on this one.

This. Aside from it being a Volvo and local, doesn't sound like much else impresses you about this one.

I hate to say it, but I agree with your dh. Imagine having to walk up to that granny beige car every day for five years. It would get to you. I'd wait until you find the car you love
