None of my biz casual/professional clothes fit me right now. And before I cry about it, I thought I would enlist the help of my friends!
What should I wear that will hide the belly and make me look like a pro. I am a jeans girl at heart. I can go to any major department store.
TIA Ladies!
Re: Dress me!
I think jackets will be your best bet...I've always been a plus size girl and I know what a good jacket can do for you..it will hide everything! And maybe you wanna go with a suit with a fun modern shirt because if it's a senior center they might expect something more "classic" but also fun, since they expect you to plan events.
As far as accessories go...a long necklace looks professional and it will also make you look longer.
Did that make sense? ...I'm gonna look for some pics to give you and idea of what I mean.
ETA: make sure the jacket is longer and fitted..not boxy...it supposed to accentuate your curves not to make you look like you are wearing a pillow case.
I always like this type of look. Picture isn't working. Here is a link:

Black dress pants, black suit jacket and and regular shirt instead of a button down shirt.
Jacket from Old Navy:

Tops from The Limited (I love this store and they have really cute jackets too, but kinda expensive)...These tops have ruffles...I like ruffles cause they draw attention to the neck/chest area and away from the belly.

Then on the bottom wear pants that make you feel comfortable (and they don't necessaryly need to match the jacket you can do black or blue pants, white or ivory jacket with a blue, red or grey shirt) and you are set!
