Does BFing make you sleepy?

Maybe it's because I'm so exhausted to begin with and because it's so hot but every time I feed her I start to nod off! Does BFing make anyone else sleepy?

I nod off whenever she eats for a long time.  I don't know if it is out of boredom or sleepiness though.

If she eats for a long time and I am home by myself and it is quiet, I fall asleep lol....

Initially, you are just exhausted period- the first six weeks (and, especially if you are handling all feedings by bf'ing) are usually one giant fog for most moms.

I remember reading that something hormonal happens that does cause both mom & baby to become sleepy. Sleep away!
