3 yo birthday party

Well...I guess I need to start planning as DS's birthday is less than two months away. Last year, I had everything planned in February which either means I am crazy or behind. Anyone have ideas or suggestions on outside the home indoor parties you have attended? I just don't know that I want to worry about heat or rain (we had both last year) but am coming up idea-less. There's a place here called Frog Legs that's like indoor inflatables but I don't know that I want to pay what they list and not have as much control over details like plates, cups, food, etc. since pizza is included. I am doing a Toy Story theme since DS loves it more than anything else.

Re: 3 yo birthday party

  • How is he almost 3?  I remember when he was baptized! I know lots of people love Frog Legs, but have no idea what their prizes are like.  Could you rent an inflatable elsewhere and have it in your yard?  Or do something at Hickory Dickory or the Monkey Park in Opelika?
  • Maybe check a community center that has room enough to have an inflatable inside if need be?  I just went to a birthday party a couple weeks ago and they rented Toy Story themed bouncey castle.  It was really cute, plus it's really easy to find Toy Story themed invites and decorations.  I've seen them on etsy, vistaprint, oriental trading, party city, you name it!

  • What about your church, if you have one? A lot of people I know use the gym and/or playground at our church and then they bring in rented moon bounce things. I don't think it costs much to rent the church space either, if anything. Then they can bring their own food, cups, plates, etc.

  • I can't believe Smith will be turning 3.  It seems like yesterday when you had him.  They grow up way to fast.
