I'm just surprised that they don't state the 1 yr and 20 lbs rule.  The CHP website has a flier that states that rule but doesn't say it's law.

FWIW DD is still RFing and will be for the foreseeable future (unless DH decides he is too uncomfortable driving with her that way but I'd switch her around when I drive).

  • My cousin went and asked the CHP and they told her there was no weight requirement, just one year... She's the kind of person you absolutely can't argue with, so I left it alone...She turned her DD around exactly at one year..

    Sigh.  DH wants to turn DD, but she's not twenty lbs yet.  I'm trying to argue for her staying rear-facing.  She doesn't mind!
