NBR: The saga continues

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I'm not sure what to do. My wedding album prints arrived today. My wedding photog had them shipped to me for viewing and now I am supposed to send them back to her to be bound. They are horrible and not what I expected at all! It honestly looks like I could have made this album myself on shutterfly. I had sent her examples of albums I liked, but this looks nothing like those. Maybe it's because the pages aren't bound yet. I don't really know what my rights are considering just getting this far has taken over a year. How rude is it to ask for my money back? I can't see paying $550 for something I am not happy with at all. I don't know if I want her to do them over, I may never get an album. sigh.

I don't know that you'll get all your money back but you are within your rights to negotiate something, that's for sure.

Maybe someone else who has experienced a bad photographer/issues can weigh in here? GL!

I'm not sure the answer, but I wouldn't worry about being rude - she definitely hasn't taken your feelings into account and put you through such frustration. I think you should be able to get your money back, although I'm not sure how cooperative she will be. Didn't you already ask for a partial refund?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I bet she has already spent the money.  So most likely you'll never see it. But I would be trying to do whatever I could to get the money back.  Even threatening small claims court.  I highly doubt you will ever be satisfied with whatever she gives you in the future based on your past exp w/ this lady.

You are in your right to file a small claims suit.  AND she has to come to your local court.  I'd send her an email, explain your feelings and request a refund.  If she refuses or doesn't respond, then I'd go and file a suit.  I think it's $30 or $40 to file, but with your contract and the length of time, I think you certainly have a chance.  GL!

Don t worry about being rude. She has been more than unprofessional. I'm so sorry you dont like them. can they be rearranged or is it the actual pics you dont like?
