Things to do when kids are sick?

DD has a nasty cough and her nose is running like crazy.  Don't want to take them to the gym that way, and it's probably not smart to go to the pool.  What on earth can we do today to help pass the time?  DH is out of town until Friday so it really helps to get out and get the kids exercise every day.

    we are dealing with this now too. DS has a runny nose and is sneezing...im hoping it passes fast. We went to the grocery today. I think we'll stick to shopping, or going to get a donut at the donut shop nearby, or just taking a walk later on in the evening. 

    Its boring, but it will pass. And my DH is coming home friday too after 3 wks away.

    My baby is sick today too.  My toddler and I have just been playing inside.  We watched about a million episodes of Thomas, made cookies, drew on construction paper, and rolled our little trains about a thousand miles.  Now the toddler is napping.  I can't wait until they both get up so we can go somewhere.
