Sophie's Big Girl Room

Sophia loving her new room and us getting that done and out of the way was a big part of the weekend. Most of you saw the video on FB. I am so glad I recorded her reaction. It was priceless and so rewarding after all the time, effort, and money we put into making her room a little sanctuary just for her. What is also great is that she did not blink about her old furniture being in Isabelle's room. In fact, now that she has her new room she is even more open to her sister. She asks me, "Can I see Isabelle's room?" or she tells me mom, "Nana, Isabelle is my baby." So in spite of my worry that Sophia was going to react negatively to getting her old furniture "taken away" - its like she is freely giving it to her sister in exchange for this magical new room that she now barely wants to leave.

Awwww...she is so big already. Love the room and I couldn't get enough of her moving all her little frames, etc. and checking out every single drawer. lol Too funny!

I LOVE IT!!! Great job on the room.  So glad Sophie loves it.. How was her 1st night in it?  You dont need a guard for her on the other side??

Liz, when this video was taken the guard rail was under her bed in its box. We hadn't had time to put it on. She definitely needs it. Its on there now. her first night we did not even have to tell her it was bedtime. Come the end of an epside of Diego, well before 8pm, she bounced up and announced it was bedtime. She ran to her room, jumped in her bed, and turned off the light. LOL. I had to actually negotiate to get her back out of the bed to go potty.

Last night was just as easy except she did turn on her light once - because she can. Haha.

Awe.. How awesome.. So glad she likes it and yeah she can reach that light.. Before long she will be reading herself to sleep like her mama!

She is the cutest freaking thing ever!! The room came out great, and I LOVE how she is so grateful for all the hard work you put into it. She was inspecting all of it like it was her new castle, lol.. You have to save that one to show her when she gets big
