Babies: 3 - 6 Months

NO, you can't give my baby cotton candy!

So, the other day someone posted about their inlaws giving their baby pistachio pudding.  I was furious for her and immediately had a talk with my husband about how I do not want that happening to DS no matter what.(Because it wouldn't surprise me if my family or his tried to do that when we weren't looking.)  So yesterday, we had a funeral and afterward the family had a barbecue.  At the barbeque DH's cousin was like, "If I had known you were bringing Levi, I would've brought him some cotton candy."  I laughed, but I don't think she was kidding and then she said "It's fine, it dissolves right on their tongue."  No way!  Then I was in the kitchen and his aunt tried to pick out four or five items in her kitchen that DS could eat, i.e pudding, peaches, crackers..  I was like, "No, that's okay, we are cereal only so far."  She just kind of rolled her eyes.  Seriously, I am gonna have to watch him like a hawk around them!

  • I don't understand some people's logic sometimes.  Your examples and people putting soda in their baby's/toddler's bottles/sippy cups just blows my mind.

Good job for catching them. I seriously don't know what goes in some people's heads.

  • I agree.  One of my coworkers brought her very large child into the office one day.  She mentioned "Yeah, I've already given her chocolate and soda.  I'm a bad mommy. Haha!"  No one else was laughing.  Her daughter was in the 95+ percentile for her weight at 11 months.
