i made one for dd but she hates it so it disappeared... I just took a length of elastic lace (I had a scrap about 10", you want it a bit snug), sewed the ends together and sewed a fabric pouf to it ( about 2 feet of organza/chiffon/tulle etc 2 inches wide, then gathered on one long side), then a silk flower to the center of that.
You can also do that to a stiff hairband but those never seemed to sit on her head properly...
I actually picked up a tutorial sheet from Joann's. You know those project sheets they have hanging in random spots in the store? Seems pretty easy. I'm making them for a bachelorette party (for the bridal party) and then small little ones as pins for the bridal shower for a game we're playing (similar to the baby clothes pin game)
