I am going to call my Drs office tomorrow but Im kind of irritated because I am not going to be seen until 8 weeks. I will have a U/S that day and go over some other info but what do I do until then. When was your first appointment? Being pregnant for the first time I have no clue what I should and shouldn't be doing. I am so worried and I am going to do something or eat something that I shouldn't. Also does good betas indicate a higher chance of a successful pregnancy? I know anything could happen at any point but I am so nervous that I could miscarry, but my betas are really good. Also I was looking on beta base and it says your betas are much higher and more than double with multiples. Is this a fact or just an assumption? My number tripled and more in 48 hours.
Re: Beta and some other ?s
Congratulations!!
Your RE won't see you until 8 weeks? That seems a tad irresponsible to me. I can't see your siggy but I thought from my glimpse taht you did IVF....no?
Betas are one indicator but super high or fast doubling betas don't necessarily mean multiples. I had a pretty strong beta but always only had one.
I would ask to be seen by your RE prior to 8 weeks....and then you will need to be seen by your OB around 10 week mark and it can be hard to get those appts so you might start on it after your first U/S...which should be done around 6 weeks, imo.
good luck!
Thank you I am very excited but nervous still.
I did do IVF. This one was a FET. Is my ticker covering my siggy? I wasn't sure how to add my ticker. I am for sure going to call tomorrow to see if I can get in any earlier.
My first u/s with the RE wasn't until almost 7w (I think I was 6w5d). She preferred to wait until a point where she could guarantee a h/b would be seen in a normal pg, so that she didn't have to stress anyone out unnecessarily.
Also, my betas were highish (according to betabase, they were average for trips!!!), but there's only one in there... and there are ladies on here who had lower betas than I did @ the same dpo, and are having multiples... so betas aren't necessarily a good indicator of # of babies.
I don't see your ticker at all, but your siggy isn't visible once I click reply... I can see it fine in the post though.
