Hello new OKC mommies!!!
It is so nice to know there are other expecting mommies in the OKC area so we can share our experiences, fears, and joys. I would like to learn more about all of you.....
What is your due date? March 2011 (my first appt is July 14th)
How old are you? Too old...29 1/2
How did you meet your significant other/husband? His brother intorduced us...actually i went on a date with his brother and that is where i met my husband
Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? I bought a little hat and a rattle to suprise my husband when he got back from a business trip...he was very suprised and happy
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? Too many things..it's so hard to list even 1. Raising a child with my wonderful husband and sharing every special moment that our child has with my hubby.
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? We are still a little new here so we tend to stay on our side of town (NW OKC) but when we do branch out we like to head out on the weekend and go camping.

How did you meet your significant other/husband? a halloween party at his house when I was a freshman in college.
Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? Heck yeah! Room is almost fully decorated - just waiting on some art work and things for the walls. Shower this weekend.
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? I think just experiencing a persons firsts. It is going to be pretty cool to see a whole persons first steps, hear her very first word, etc.
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? I have lived in the OKC area my whole life, so I just like the small town feel, even though it is a big city. I know what we liked to do pre-pregnancy and pre-baby, but I am not sure what we are going to like to do post....maybe Babies R Us, Storkland and USA Baby???

How did you meet your significant other/husband? He came to work for the same company that I worked for in 2007.
Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? No.. I would like to get the nursery ready now though, but we probably won't start that until around September.
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? All the memories and first times we will have together as a family.
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? I also grew up here so my favorite places to go in OKC (besides my home and my mom's home) would be:
restaurant: abuelo's (mexican) - downtown
activity: shakespere in the park - the civic center downtown (they are remodeling the normal spot for it in the myriad gardens)
park: to take kids to - earlywine park in sw okc (May and SW 104th-ish?) or just to walk around with my DH - the myriad gardens downtown
movie theater: Warren theater in Moore for the big movie experience, to Tinseltown for cheaper tickets, or for drive in (the only one, i think) Winchester near I-240 and Western
library: the downtown library is really nice
place to go hiking: it's a short trip to Lawton - they have a mountains and trails you can walk around on and if you are having a lazy day, you can drive up one of them (Mt. Scott). Watch out for buffalo though, we were walking up Mt. Elk (i think thats the one we were on) and I was super tired so I was focusing on the trail and making sure we stayed on it. I ended up walking about a yard away from a buffalo and didn't even see it! lol! So now everytime I don't see something that is obvious, my DH calls it a buffalo lol.

Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? just a bath book, Im trying to control myself
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? Loving, learning, sharing, teaching... Giving someone the love and patience that my wonderful mom gave me! And having a family with my almost hubby
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? I love the trails at Hefner Lake, for running or for biking! I cant wait to buy my little one a stroller and zoom around the lake!
