Baby born April 20 - still not named!

Truth is stranger than fiction!  This little girl is the niece of one of my best friends from college.  Her sister has a 4yo daughter and had another daughter on April 20.  As of this past weekend, when I last talked to my friend, baby girl #2 is still not named.

In MA (where they live), you have 3 months to name a baby.  So, she has less than 2 weeks to get this little girl named.

At the hospital, they had a list of names and that list has grown and shortened and now apparently...there is a short list!

I've never even heard of leaving the hospital without naming your child, much less waiting months and months!

Right now, they're just calling her Didi - for darling dimples!

That is just crazy.  Perhaps they should name her DeeDee

My neice went unnamed for over a month (they wound up with Lucy, which, while a very sweet name - really?  It took you a month to come up with Lucy?).  I thought it was nuts.  But 3 months?!  Insane!

Give me a break people haha....its just a name.  Yes its hard to pick but honestly no one cares but you haha.

we had names for the twins but didn't share them until the bris/naming. it was so hard to not have names for a 8 days, i can't imagine 3 months!!

That's ridiculous.  I know that in the grand scheme of things this isn't the worst thing you could do to your child but....I actually see it as pretty crappy.

Back in the day, it was not uncommon at all to wait months before naming a child.  But now...yeah.  I don't get it at all!

My BIL's family has this customer - they name children on their 1st birthday.  But that's because they are Barbadan.
