s/o TMI/leakage issues

So I've definitely lost the mucus plug... and then some. My doc swept my membranes on Tuesday at my request because I'm apparently a sissy. This child feels enormous and I am just super uncomfortable. Anyhow, since then I've literally been losing gobs of mucus - *gobs* - some with a little bit of a blood tinge, some clear. It's just gross and neverending. I know no one can tell me when the baby will come but wow. I'm just flabbergasted at the amount of mucus and wondering how there can be more to come.

Did y'all experience tons and tons of mucus in the days/weeks leading up to baby? I'm getting anxious as my due date draws near and all this mucus makes me think I'm at least making some progress. Please God, I hope I am. Haha.

Wait you are already 39 weeks??? I honestly don't remember, but I feel like about a week from fully loosing my MP to delivery.

Like you said, I can't predict, but to me that sounds like definite progress.

I honestly don't remember - I usually go back to my blog for milestones, but i'm pretty sure I never posted about my mucus plug Guess I should have saved my Bump posts!

Yes...I did. It was GOBS of it. Started at about 2 pm the day before I had DS, contractions started at 7 pm that night (although I wasn't convinced that is what they were).Went to the hospital at 3:45 am, water broke at 4 am and I had DS at 10:40 pm.

Is it weird that I'm jealous that I didn't get to experience any of this stuff with Ellie and hope to with this one?! Stuuupid induction. Anyway, I hope this means it's not too much longer for you!

You are so close! I think that losing some with a blood tinge is a good sign that labor is close. And really, I think there is just a TON of it to begin with and it 'regenerates' pretty fast, so losing a lot is not common.

I have seriously been losing pieces of my mp for 10 weeks (no contractions or other signs though). It was small amounts at first, and has gotten to a lot more lately. No blood, though. Surprisingly, I was only a fingertip dilated at 37 w.

And today, at 38w, I am at 4cm. Sheesh. Seems like I can't make much more progress than that till I'm in active labor!
