Has your pulse increased during pregnancy?

Since I've been hooked up to monitors so much over the last few weeks I'm pretty familiar with my pulse. At ER it was in the mid 50s to low 60s which is pretty normal resting rate for me. The last two times I've been drained (last mon and today) it was in the 90s. It doesn't really feel like it's racing or anything and my blood pressure was still normal for me (90s/50s). Is this pregnancy related?

I normally run around 50-55 but since pregnancy I am around 62-67, it has even spiked to 73.  And it totally freaks me out.  I worked out a ton over the last 5 years to get that resting pulse!

Yeah the 90s today were sending me into sheer panic. (Which probably didn't help)

I'm going to call the doc in the AM to double check.

Yes.  Especially toward the end.  I remember mine was 135 once, but in my defense, I walked quite a bit from a far parking lot to the office.

It's completely normal and related to the increase in blood volume.

I have a mitral valve prolapse, and a moderate murmur and i was telling my RE yesterday that my symptoms have been crazy since I got the BFP.   Normally I only feel the heart symptoms once every few months, and in the last 2 weeks I have had about 4 bouts of symptoms.  He said changes in heart activity are common in pregnancy and due to the increased blood volume.

my heartrate goes as high as 130-140 sometimes (before pregnancy it ran 60-80, so i'm being supervised by a cardiologist). however, the cardiologist is very unconcerned and thinks it will be fine (they did a ton of testing to rule out the dangerous stuff). basically, a faster heart rate during pregnancy is totally normal. it's not until you hit 120 that you're out of the realm of normal, and even then (as in my case) it usually turns out to be nothing serious. i would ask your OB next time you see him/her, though, just to be on the safe side.
