Knitters a ?

I have a pattern for a christmas stocking and it has a snowflake pattern on it how do I carry the white yarn when I don't need it and i am knitting the other colour.

Eg on one row I need 3 stitches of red, next 2 white, next 4 red ect.

Can you please explain to me how to do this or point me to a video that shows how to do this.

Thanks

Re: Knitters a ?

  • Just carry it and wrap. For instance, I'd knit 3 red, wrap it around the white, knit the two white, pick up the red again (usually it automatically wraps once you get the hang of it). If I remember correctly, the S&B book had decent pictures/explanation for this.
