No news! :(  I was up sick all night so I was kinda hoping that would lead to something, but I think that was just my normal m/s.

I am not up to much today... kinda worn out from las night.  I am going to hang in the a/c and perhaps walk on the treadmill and bounce on my exercise ball! ;)

    How was your 4th?

  • the 4th was good.  we were at my in-laws for most of the day. today, we are heading to our neighbor's for another bbq. it's amazing how since everyone found out i was pregnant, the neighbors are more interested in chatting us up (we've been living here for 5 years)!!

take it easy today, and hopefully, something will happen.

are you seeing the dr. tomorrow?

That is so funny.. we have found the same thing!  It is like they were afraid we hated kids or something ( mind you, they know we are both teachers!). So weird!

Yeah, I have an appointment tomorrow morning.  I am hoping she will set me up as early as tomorrow night for an induction.

That actually makes me feel better to hear you say that! Part of my feel like I should not rush things, but I know we are dealing with a big baby and I am afraid if we wait too long, I am going to need a c-section.

I think people going 42 weeks is insane. Post dates babies can have issues too... the placenta ages, higher risk of fetal stress during labor and meconium aspiration during delivery... 41 weeks is my max. My husband and I have discussed it a few times, and we even mentioned it to the doula we're considering and she agrees.

And she's worked with my OB before, and she thinks 41 weeks is as far as my OB will let me go as well.

41 weeks isn't rushing. You've let him take his time. This won't be a convenience induction. This will be a "gotta get him out of there before something goes wrong" induction.
