f/u to BF pain

Holy clogged milk duct! It ends up that I had a clogged milk duct. I had a hard time getting a hold of anyone, it being Friday at 4pm, on a holiday weekend.... But a good friend of mine has been through thrush, mastitis, etc... So she stopped by and said that's what it looked like.

I put some hot compresses on it, pumped, BF, and even took a pair of tweezers to it (not my proudest moment, but in desperation) and it worked. It felt so much better almost immediately. It's still a little sore today, but by far better than yesterday.

Terrific! (Well, not terrific that you had it, but terrific you've found an answer and some relief!) My SIL was plagued with clogged ducts. Yuck. I hope you are able to avoid them in future or at least work through them a little more quickly if one should arise again.

I'm glad you figured it out.  Just keep nursing, nursing, nursing to make sure it gets completely cleared up.  I've had a few, and the pain is awful.  It was one of those things where I just had to hold my breath while he latched on, but nursing helped make it better.  I hope you keep feeling better!
