I know, I posted way too many crafts the other day (two weeks' worth!) but while I'm going overboard, I figured I'd throw this one in as well.
I finally bought DD real scissors (usually she uses the M&D paper-only kind) and she cut the foam paper for this flag. The mini jingle bells were stuck on with glue dots. DD also strung the ribbons through the holes.
I should add that I got the idea from Family Fun (I think).
Re: PIP July 4th craft
Dana does fine with the paper-only scissors, but she also found the real scissors to be harder to reopen after the first snip. She opens her mouth very wide every time she opens the scissors! Sometimes I count with her or just remind her to help the scissors "chomp chomp" the paper and she opens them wider.
Is it bad that I like to see her struggle with things like this because I know it's making her hands stronger?
