"they" were right..

You are much more relaxed with the second kid. Dh and ds went to inlaws for the weekend and I am all alone with my 6 wk old and two labs. If this was back when I had ds and dh left me alone I would have freaked. Instead I'm looking forward to my time alone with just dd (who sleeps a lot!!!) I just put dd in her swing for a nap and enjoying the 80 degree weather with a woodchuck in my hand. Ahhh

  • Isn't it glorious!!!  I love that I was able to enjoy Cam's newbornness and not be so nervous.  If she hadn't screamed her bloody head off every night for 3+ hours, it would have been pretty close to perfect!

  • OMG I know exactly what you mean. DD is been totaly different then DS very fussy, can't seem to figure out how much/when she wants to eat, sleep etc but it doesn't seem to bother me, With DS I seem to get flustered with every little thing that didn't go right. This is probably awful to say b/c I LOVE my DS to DEATH but I have enjoyed the newborn stage sooo much more with #2 even though she is a more difficult baby right compared to DS.

  • Exactly! Dd is still waking 2-3 x's a night but I just do it and move on with my day. I could care less about making sure she sleeps in her crib or whatever. What happens when you get to #3? lol
