I just get sad because I never had a skin problem before and now my face has awful red blotches and acne I cannot find a treatment for. It is what it is and I will get over it.
N&G I totally feel you. My skin has freaked out since having kids too. I used to have perfect skin and now I have red blotches and monster zits all the time plus I have eczema so I have some dry flaky skin too. I have tried everything and honestly the best thing has been to not wash my face and only moisturizer it. I am really tempted to go to a dermatologist soon though.
I was just kind of wandering through here this morning and wanted to comment. I have had rosacea all my life, well since I was about 4. The best tips i can offer, are no caffeine, no alcohol, and get the Aveeno Colloidal Oatmeal Soothing Bath Treatment. Its a few bucks for a box of five or six packets. Each packet lasts me about two weeks. I take a small palmful of the oatmeal and add water using my other hand until is all puddled and little thin. Then I gently put it on my face and let it sit there for a few minutes ( I usually do this in the shower), then rinse it off. It is very soothing and I always am less red afterwards. Also, any makeup with a green tint will tone down the appearance of redness, Clinique does have a line for it, but its too harsh for my skin. I know it's hard to live with. I wish you luck. Also it is true that having a girl steals your beauty, lol, my daughter ruined what was left of my face that I liked.
Just stumbled on this post too. My rosacea responds pretty well to Metrogel (it's a prescription) I've heard of doctors sometimes giving prescription antibiotics but I have no personal experience there. I know how you feel.
