Melaneigh:I tried to get into the book several years ago, before the movie came out, and I couldn't. I haven't watched the movie because I'm still trying to hold out and read the book.
If you have the time, I say definitely read it. It's long, but is so good.
twinkletoes815:Hmm I dunno. I didn't read the book so I don't know how much it adheres to the movie. I watched the movie, and it was intriguing. There are some emotional moments with difficult pregnancies and miscarriage.
Those are also in the book. Thanks for the warning, though. No one warned me about "Up" and I was a wreck the entire movie.
princess101:I read the book first and loved the book. I hated the movie. I thought they did a really poor job at super important moments and left out and changed some of the best parts.
That's what I'm afraid of. ::sigh::
I'm off to read in my nice clean room with my nice clean (lizard free) sheets.
I love the book, the movie was okay. I wasn't a fan of the casting, although I like all the actors.
I do recommend all of Phillipa Gregory's books though. I really loved The Constant Princess, a very interesting take on Katherine of Aragon.
twinkletoes815:BTW I'm so excited for you! Happy and healthy 9months to you. Your daughter's birth shares a special day in my heart. Blessings to you and your family!
You just made me cry. Thank you.
