Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Fear not!

I am here! (Yes, I caught that mention of my name. I apparently bump WAY too much. :P )

Jack had his 4 month appointment today. He is 16.5lbs and 27inches long. Woot woot. 77th and 79th percentiles respectively. We have to go see a plastic surgeon about his head being amazingly flat. Other than that, and the fact that he doesn't blow raspberries or laugh (yes, I do have the most serious baby alive) the doc said he looked really good.

She also said we need to start solids soon, and cut a bottle a day. A whole bottle?! :( I am not ready for solids. They seem like such a pain in the ass, and Jack's head control is great for about...oh...2.5 seconds, when he flops over like a little ragdoll baby (just ask Ab, she's held my floppy buntin', he is supremely floppy). So, I'm stalling. I told Bun it was because I want to do some research on FF'd BLW, but it's really just because I can't stand the whole idea of my Hitchhiker being big enough to eat food. :(

Also, Pammi, you're such a MUDwhore. Lol.

I haven't set it up yet. Hopefully soon, so we can get him outfitted (if necessary) before we move. I have to call tomorrow.

We also got shots today. He was very sad, and went to bed early. :(

Poor Jack! Shots are the worst! You tell him I think so.

Our surgeon won't see us until 6 mos and I'm suppe freaked that we're doing more damage in the meantime. I wish I could get him set up now.

  • 6 months? Weird!

FWIW, Jack's flat spot is a lot worse than Simon's (from the pic you posted). It's on the curve of his head, rather than the back, and they said it might fvck up his jaw. :X But she said he still might not need a helmet. If Jack doesn't, I can't imagine Simon would!

. I hope not, for both our sweet boys' sake.

  • Same here! :(

Bun said that if we *do* need to get him a helmet, we're going to put a big navy Star on either end, so he can be in style for Cowboys' season!

  • Annie! I haven't forgotten about our potential play date. Life's been crazy here in my house. I'll PM you tonight or tomorrow with some potential dates. How does that sound?

BTW, Tegan at her 6 month appointment was 14 lbs 15 oz and only 25 inches long, lol!

I'm super jealous that you guys get to hang out IRL... two sane, cool bumpies in one spot.  Maybe I need to take a trip to Austin?
