I just got an email from when I was working/living in Oakland from Peralta Schools and they said that schools will be closed if the chancellor deems it necessary.  They are saying that both verdicts will have people 'demonstrating'.

This is crazy.  As long as you're done with month end stuff today, you're good to go right?!

    From this article, it says closing arguments start today.  I doubt they will come to a verdict today.

    There have been people out and around downtown oakland since yesterday. They were handing out fliers about a demonstration starting tonight at 6.  I ran out of work at 4 and straight onto BART.  I already scheduled to have tomorrow off and work a little from home.  craziness!
