  • I'm good.  How are you feeling?

Do I remember you saying you have IBS?

  • I do have IBS.  I'm feeling okay.  My IBS meds are very helpful lately because I'm definitely still having tummy troubles.  Nothing too bad.

  • Glad you're feeling okay.  Can't wait to see a belly pic Smile

How did Met affect your IBS?  I've only taken a couple of days of Met, but I have been having some major stomach issues yesterday and today.  I'm really nervous about stepping up my dosage Tongue Tied

  • Oh yeah, the Met is a bad combo, but you will eventually adjust.  I'd wait a full week between each dose increase.  I take mine all at once all at night before bed with 2 imodium.  That works a bit better for me.  I take Bentyl for IBS during the day as needed.

I'd keep imodium on hand and take it as needed until you adjust.  If you watch your diet it's a bit easier as well.  Personally, I'm going to have a major issue if I have too much sugar while on Met.

Good luck!  You will eventually adjust, it just might take you a bit longer then non-IBSers.

  • Thanks!

My dr. said if I needed longer than a week to step up to the next level that was fine.  Luckily I'm off during the summer, so I'm at home to adjust to the meds.

I haven't taken Bentyl in almost 2 years.  Luckily, I've figured out what my trigger foods are and try my best to avoid them.  I always have Immodium on hand as well.
