Baby Names

Boy Name Poll (non clicky)

I posted a week or two ago asking for help and DH and I have narrowed our list down to the following three names:

Landon Harold

Elliot Harold (Eli)

Lucas Harold

Our last name begins with a "W", is one syllable and rhymes with light.  What is your favorite?  Please be brutally honest!  Is Lucas getting too popular?  Do you know any girls named Landon (my DH doesn't like unisex names)?  Thanks for your feedback!

Re: Boy Name Poll (non clicky)

  • I don't know any Landons that are girls.  It's really nms for a boy.  My favorite on your list is Eli.  I love that name, but DH doesn't.  I only know of one Lucas that is a baby.

  • Thank you!  You don't think Elliot Harold souns like a 90-year-old man? :)

  • My pick is for Landon. To me Elliot White is too many t sounds. I really dislike Eli. And I love Lucas but it is popular and I think it will get shortened to Luke. Luke White is too choppy imo.

I don't know any girls named Landon.

  • Lucas Harold sounds the best, and while Lucas is getting popular, its still a fantastic name!
  • I like Elliot and Lucas the best. If you're worried about popularity (granted, regions vary), the SSA lists Lucas and Landon in the upper 30s.

So in order of like: Elliot, Lucas, Landon.

Ha!  No, I don't think Elliot sounds like an old man's name at all.  And don't worry about the middle name.  He'll rarely use it anyway.

  • Elliot (Eli) is definitely my favorite of those.
  • My vote is on Eli.

  • The only one I would consider is Elliot. And, no, I don't know any girls named Landon.
  • My vote is for Lucas. Elliot is nice too. Not a fan of Landon.
