My H is a shop adviser at a local auto repair place. Today a woman came in and asked if she could nurse in the lobby before she left, since it was too hot to nurse in the car. My H said sure.
His coworker was apparently completely freaking out about it. Co-worker (C) said, "Can't the baby just WAIT??" to which my H responded, "Dude, when you're baby is crying, waiting is not an option- you will do whatever you can to get them to stop!". Then C said, "Well, MY wife would never nurse in public. Baby can wait or she can go to the bathroom." My H responded, "Well, if you have that attitude your wife won't nurse very long! It's really not a big deal."
Awwwww A year ago, my H probably would have been making the same comments as his coworker, and now he's completely comfortable with extended BFing even He also commented today that going on a plane in August is going to be so much easier because we know how to calm Emmy down! Oh, how having a baby changes you... lol
Re: AW-My H- the lactavist ;)
yay for your DH! These battles are won one situation at a time.
Another good line for his co-worker would be "would you like to eat your lunch in the bathroom?"

Good for your husband!!
I had to tell people in a laundrymat that BF in public is allowed, legal, and appropriate...the clerk was about to tell her to stop.
Good on him!
My DH is also very supportive in that way.
