need help decorating!

I'm thinking of doing some sort of travel theme for DS room.  So far I know I want to get a large scale antique world map mural and put it on one wall and then do wooden name letters with some kind of map type material/paper glued over them but I'm kind of stuck on what colors I should do for the walls/bedding and other decorations I could use.

The only colors right now are the wood trim which will be painted a very dark brown and the expresso furniture. 

Any ideas from people who are creative?

That sounds really cute! I like the idea You could paint a really light blue on the walls to offset the dark trim/furniture...I think it would look awesome, and it looks really good with all the tans/browns you will be using for the maps. Since it is kind of a vintage style, diff shades of brown and orange would look cool for the bedding. You could try to find a vintage looking airplane mobile, and have some shelves with old fashioned cars or train on them. Good luck! Post pics with your progress!
