who has done WW?

I am concidering starting WW and I am EBF... is there anyone that has done this that can share some insight?

I would like to try it without going to meetings, where would you find the info?

  • Go to their website. You can track everything online and there are tutorials for how to do the program.  It's very easy to follow you just really have to commit to following it.

    Personally I've had better results going to meetings in person but that's just me.  A friend of mine did it entirely online and she lost about 40lbs doing so.

  • I did WW online & it totally worked. The negatives I experienced: I felt hungry all the time which made me very grouchy.(even with the snacks) I found planning out my meals and points to be a pain in the a$$. I'm busy, I don't have time to sit and count out everything I plan on eating that day and figuring out points. I think Nutrisystem is better, it's all planned out for you!

  • WW rocks!  It's one of the only diets you can do long term.  You can eat out which is awesome.  I've kept off the 50 pounds I lost for 2 years now!  I just did online, but I was HIGHLY motivated to lose!

  • I have done both meetings and online. I like online better b/c meetings just become one more thing on my to do list. I did it starting when DS was like 3 or 4 weeks old and I was EBF too. You get a lot more points if you are nursing. I have never had problems being hungry on it. I think as long as you eat enough fiber and filling foods, etc. I just started again to lose the last 10 pounds while we are TTC, but I lost 60 pounds on it after DS was born, though it took me like a year. You can get a week trial for free on their website. GL!

  • I was never starving.  You have an extra 35 points every week to use as you would like.  Also, every day, you had to get in healthy guidelines...oil, fruits, veggies, etc.  You just have to be careful not to eat empty calories.  =) GL!

    I lost 30 lbs doing it online before I got pregnant.  I tried again while EBF when he was 2 or 3 months but even with the extra points, my supply took a hit.  Breastfeeding was more important, so I stopped WW until just now.  I started it online again last week and already lost 5 lbs that first week.  I never feel starving doing it - it helps to kind of plan out the day with plenty of snacks.  It's a little challenging at first, but you get so used to what are good choices, good portions, and what points are for the things you normally eat.  I think the online tracker is very user-friendly also.

  • Weight Watchers worked for me!  At one point, I had lost 130 lbs. going to meetings...there was something about weighing in.  I've gained some weight back due to not having a wedding to slim down for AND stopped going to meetings.

    I know many women who have been successful online.  There are many boards as well to keep the 'meeting' aspect...people are out there in the same shoes as you. 

    After the baby is born, I will join again.  If you are breastfeeding, you do need to eat an extra 12 points a day!  I enjoyed being in control of my eating and knowing that it was my actions and choices that led me success.
