Two Under 2

city select with toddler and 2 week old...pip

so we have the adapter for DD, and use it while out and about. Its ok, the fit is a  little tight but works fine.

.but i wanted to see if I could take a walk around the neighborhood without the car seat --- it was too hot for it, even after dinner time. So i layed her in it and it worked, I mean I wouldnt do it at the mall or anything, but it worked for a smooth sidewalk ride. I buckled her in and had a blanket for her to be nestled in. BJ says 6 months and up for the seats...but it could work for younger...from time to time.  just an FYI

I take the seats off bc it makes it a little lighter. Its flat enough for us, but we have  a minivan. I leave the adapter on when folding.

  • I was just getting ready to purchase this stroller, but now I'm a little confused...I would like to use the stroller in the same way you are at first - with a car seat and the regular seat, so I was going to hold off for a little while on ordering the second seat.  I called Baby Jogger and they said that I would need to purchase the second seat or at least the 2nd seat attachment brackets in order to use it this way.  Is that correct?  I can't just purchase the stroller and infant seat adapter and be able to use it as a double?  Thanks for any info you can provide!

yes you need the brackets to put in the front so you can use the infant adapter on the higher setting. I ordered the second seat, but if they sell the brackets alone you could do that too, though if you buy the second seat later will you have 2 sets of brackets? hmmm

i have to say im not a huge fan of the infant seat adapter. I have the snugride from graco--and its a tight fit with the seat in front. if you try to adjust it so its not hitting the seat in front, then the car seat is too tilted for a newborn. BUT I need it, I wouldnt be able to wear DD in this heat all the time. plus she sleeps in her car seat.

Good point!  I didn't think about the fact that I would then have 2 sets of brackets.  I have the Snugride 32 as well.  Have you tried it with the infant seat on the bottom?  Does that work any better?

well I only have the snugride, not the 32 version. That one is longer, Ive heard it doesnt fit well. I think some ladies on here have it, I would ask.

I havent put it on the bottom, DS would probably kick her, plus I dont know how I feel leading with the newborn...
