Looking for new bedding.

I am bored with ours, we;ve had it for 5-6 years.

I have had myeye on this one for 6 months, but it still isn't on sale. I would get all the pieces to it, so it would be around $400.00 total. The good news is, our walls are a sandy beige and our curtains are a burgandy, so it would match.

Think it's worth it? Any other suggestions?

Re: Looking for new bedding.

  • I got new Pottery Barn bedding last year and love it. So worth it.

That's a nice timeless pattern that should last you several years. So in my mind that justifies the expense. If it were super-trendy and expensive I would say no but if it's classic and tasteful and will give you a few years then I say it's worth it.

  • Bedding is one of those things where I think you get what you pay for. Pottery Barn's stuff is expensive but the quality is generally very good. I splurged about 5 years back on Crate and Barrel bedding for our guest room. It looks just like it did the day I bought it, even with washing after washing of the duvet. I love the pattern you posted, I agree that it's timeless, and I think the quality will make it worth the money, IMO.

  • We have PB bedding in our guest bedroom and it has held up great for over 3 years.  We get tons of compliments on it as well.  I like the pattern you picked and think it is worth the expense.

  • I LOVE the bedding and definitely think it's worth the money!
  • I say hold out and wait until it goes on sale. Their stuff always does!

Well, after second thought, 6 months and no sale? That's annoying. I might just give up waiting and get it. It is beautiful and I think it's worth the cost.

  • You could create a registry to get 10% off :)  Or maybe order online and check ebates or bing cashback to see if Pottery Barn is listed there to save a little.

  • I'm the kind of person that likes to change things up when I get bored, so I would never pay $400 for bedding.  First off, my DH would kill me, and if he didn't, he sure wouldn't speak to me for a while.

Have you checked out Stein Mart?  We got our bedding there -- we got a comforter, pillow shams, bedskirt and 4 decorative pillows for $99.  It's king size.  They change their stuff all the time.  This is the third set I've bought there.  I just like to have options, so when I take one set off the bed, I store it till I get bored again.
