1st Birthday Invite (PIP)

While Aaron's 1st birthday isn't for another 6 weeks or so, we wanted to get going on the invitations and the plans.

Here's what I'm thinking of for the invite. What do you think?

  • They're very cute.

  • The one thing I wasn't sure of was the "grandma & grandpa's house" since the party will actually be in the backyard.

Should I leave it as is or change to "grandma & grandpa's backyard"?

  • Grandma & Grandpa's is fine. or you can say at Grandma & Grandpa's without specifying house or yard.

Is that little pool from One Step Ahead? Does he love it? I'm thinking to get it for Sienna.

The only reason I can think of to specify backyard instead of house is if there will not be anyone at all in the house to answer the door to let latecomers in, so you want people to know to go around to the back of the house.

    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.

Maybe I'll change to just "Grandma & Grandpa's" without saying house or yard.  Not a bad idea.

And, yes, the little pool is from One Step Ahead. He's only used it once, but seemed to like it once the shock of the cold water from the hose wore off. Initially he didn't know what to make of it.

  • Cute! I like the G'ma/G'pa's (no house or yard)..

Oh, my son's girlfriend just made the cutest balloon rainbow for him and put it on his truck on his last day of school. When he had to leave, we put it up over our front door, just for fun Big Smile.

You could put that on the gate you want people to enter through.

I think I have some pics, I can post it. It looked pretty easy, they just blew up a bunch of balloons with helium and tied them to a long string.

    Love it!!
  • Sorry I am late tot he party, but the invites are very cute. I also love the idea of the ballon entry. Got to note that one somewhere...
  • We actually revised it a bit... no end time and no "Grandma & Grandpa's". I think we're ready to order it.
