Anyone do a hip carry with a Moby?

I don't wear DS very often, but I've rediscovered my Moby wrap and have been trying a hip carry when out and about.  My back is always a little sore on the side I carry him afterwards.  Is this normal?  I've been using the hip carry from the video on the Moby website.  My Moby is an older Moby D I bought from CL and the ends are equal length, and I have to tie it in the back.  Thanks for you help!

I've done it with my regular Moby before...it never really felt 100% comfortable. I just don't really think it's made to do the hip carry the way a different type of wrap is.
