Please give me your "Go To" Freezer Meal ideas

I'm going to Chicago for about a week in 2 weeks and DH will be home with the kids. He's still going to be working his normal work schedule and my cousin is going to stay here while I'm gone to help take care of the kids b/c she is off of school for the summer.

She's only 17 so I think that it'll be alot for her to have to take care of the 3 kids ALL day (some days from when they wake up until they go to bed) and then have to make dinner to so I just want to have meals made in the freezer for her to pop in the oven. So give me your ideas! :)

  • Taco Soup

Cheesy Potato and Ham Casserole (kids love love love this)

Spaghetti Sauce (I make a huge pot of it in the crockpot and then freeze it in dinner servings)

    Meatloaf

    lasagna

    chicken/cheese enchiladas

grilled meats - I know it sounds odd, but you can grill double and freeze it.  Thaw and heat in the oven really quickly and it's good to go.

    Beef tips in gravy

Sticky Chicken - I clean the chicken and do the spice rub and everything as soon as I get it.  Then I freeze them in the ziplock bags so they're set to go into the oven with no work involved.

  • Just posting to save for later.  I have never tried freezer meals and I want to start!  I'm tired of all the "fast" food we are eating lately (mac n cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc).

  • Sooosie- I hear you. Now that the warm weather is here we go over to my Grandfather's just about daily to use the pool. It's such a pain to leave to have to cook dinner. I'm hoping I can save some of these too so that I can have dinner ready when we get back from the pool ;)
