I've been wanting to get a Mei Tai for awhile now. I couldn't use it until DS is born, but wanted to know if I'd be able to use it with both kids right away or have to wait for DS to use it. Any experience?
I used my BabyHawk with DS when he was about 6 weeks (that's when I bought it).
I found it great! Put him in Froggy style using the instructions on the BabyHawk website. I preferred the BabyHawk in the newborn stage to my Ergo. The Ergo with infant insert was really floppy, not a lot of neck support for my long and big baby.
Thanks for the info. It really helps. My husband is a little irritated at my obsession with carriers (we have an Ergo, Maya RS, had a Bjorn, and a few pouch slings). I'm trying to get ones that are better for me/baby as time goes on. I've been obsessing over Mei Tais for awhile, but wanted to get something I could use for both DD and DS along with the Maya RS and Ergo.
The babyhawk works great with a newborn - just froggy those legs in ;-) You can tie the waist higher to make the body shorter as well if it's still a bit tall at first.
