My 10 year old cousin is staying with me all summer during the days. She is such a huge help with the kids! My stress level is almost zero lately.

I should have got a 10 year old 4 years ago!

I remember being the 10yr old helper!   Our neighbors had 2 small kids when I was around 9-10 and I was always glad when they came out to play.  I loved playing with them.  I also did this with another lady down the street that had 2 boys around 3&5yrs old.  Once I hit 12 I was regularly babysitting for both of them.  The lady down the street would pay me just to come play with the kids outside so she could do housework inside twice a week.    It was great.  Another time she paid me $50 so she could just "get away" for a few hours.  Her boys were rather rambunctious and always fighting.  Not yelling fighting either....physically fighting.  So she would pay me to come a few hours so she could get out and away from them.  She was also in school for her PhD and needed time for just herself.  I can totally relate now and Im not even in school and my kids arent that mean.
