Cleaning a Coach handbag

anybody have any tricks?  Seth is having a bad reflux day and just projectile vomited on my ivory coach bag.  I don't really want to walk around carrying a bag that reeks of old breastmilk.  Should I try to clean it myself or take it to the dry cleaners?

Re: Cleaning a Coach handbag

  • Is it a leather or a fabric one?

I have a fabric one, and they said to spot clean with liquid ivory soap and a damp rag and not to touch the suede/leather.

  • It's fabric with leather trim.  I will have to try this.

  • My grandmother always cleans my bags. She uses Tide Pen or for the really hard stains she goes with old fashioned Brown Soap.
  • I might call Coach customer service and see what they say. Though the ivory idea sounds good to me.
  • FWIW the one I had that they told me to use the Ivory was a white fabric bag with the colored "C" and suede trim.

  • Thank you for asking this.  I have been meaning to ask for a while, but it always slips my mind.
  • Coach sells a special cleaner for their fabric bags.  YOu can buy it at the Coach store.
