How much would you pay a 13 year old?

My neighbors' have a 13 year old daughter who would like to be a mother's helper to me (which I need with a 1 and 3 year old).  I would always be home and she would likely only be with one kid at a time.  She has never babysat before.  We live in a HCOL area (Los Angeles).  How much should I pay her/hour?

7 - 10 per hour

I would probably pay around $7/hour.

This - probably. How long will she be there at a time? A few hours here or there, I think this is reasonable.

I think $8/hr sounds about right for a HCOL area.

I paid 10 an hour to my 13 y.o. neighbor to come sit in my house while i picked up ds1 from school if ds2 was still sleeping. It took me about 15-20 minutes to go there and back...so after every three times i gave him $10. he was available most of the time andi could call at the last second to come over. Worked out great. His mom was right next door if anything... I would pay between 8 and 10 i guess.
