so glad you replied to my Nuvaring post below. I remembered you saying you loved it!

My doc didn't tell me to keep it in the fridge- are you supposed to? I was just looking on the package, and it just says to keep it at room temp.

I'm really hoping it doesn't mess w/ my sex drive like BCP. I've never had any other negative side effects w/ BC though.

Jumping in here -

We store the nuva ring in the fridge in the pharmacy.  Once you get it, you can leave it at room temp (not in the bathroom or above the stove because it gets warm) for up to 4 months.  Most people would only get a 3 month supply max at a time, so it works out well to keep at room temp.  But if for some reason you got more than that, just keep it in the fridge for a while.

Either way, I would let it get to room temp before inserting it

 

Also, I read thru your other post, but have never used it so don't have first hand experience.  But it seems when talking to customers that people either love or hate it.  Where for birth control pills, people may not be happy with their pill, but continue on for months and months which I never understand.  I always tell people that there are SO many different options for birth control that if you are not happy with it after 3 cycles to try something else.

good to know! I actually have it in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, so I'll take it out and just keep it in my bedroom or something until I use it.

jnk- has it right...I had a year supply so its in the fridge..but like i said I have some which expire in dec and if you like it..I can send you some...
