If I can work up enough energy to get off the couch that is.
We both have the lovely virus that the duo had on Sunday. Somehow we have it a LOT worse than they did though. Both DH and I were up puking most of the night. Him from about 1am to 5am, and me from about 2am to now (and still going strong ugh).
You can tell he still feels really bad, but at least he hasn't thrown up in almost 6 hours, and was actually able to get a good 3 hours of straight sleep. He did let me sleep in for a while since I didn't sleep at all, other than in 15 minute bursts all night, but his way of dealing since I came out here is leaving a lot to be desired.
I'm sure he feels awful, because I know I do, but FFS I could use some damn help out here since I'm still running to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so, and it's freaking the kids out to hear Mommy wretching on the other side of the door with no one out here to comfort them. No, he's in the bedroom asleep because he's soooooo tired and soooooo sick. He thinks he needs to go to the ER for fluids. ::rolls eyes::
It's a stomach virus you big baby. You puke for a while, you feel like death for a while, you get over it. If you really need an IV I'll get a CLS kit out of your truck and give you one myself. He gets until 11 (because he did deal with them alone for an hour or so this morning) and then he's getting his ass up to come help me whether he likes it or not.
He's normally great at taking one for the team, but like 99% of all other men, even minor illnesses are just too much I guess.
Re: I'm probably going to kill him before the day ends
I would not be that understanding. His butt can be out there snoozing on the couch so atleast he's in there with the kids while you are puking in the bathroom.
This. My DH is such a wimp when he is sick too. Such a whiner.
Wait, what line of work were you in? You give IV's too?! Swoon.
Is there anything you can't do? (I know there are a bunch at the moment, like keep food down, but other than that?)

I'll be nice and give him an hour in the bedroom before I make him come out here, only because he did let me sleep this morning (what good that did since I was still puking), and he usually gets up early with them when he's off work anyway and let's me sleep more then too.
It does make me feel a little better that the bathroom door is rightoutside the bedroom door, so when they're yelling in the hallway I know there's no way it doesn't wake him up every time.
Haha, I've never worked in the medical field, but DH knows how to give IVs for work and he taught me. It's come in handy a few times at troop parties when guys try to show off and drink more than they can handle.
He keeps his medical bags on him all the time, so we always have at least 3 IV kits floating around the house or his truck.
