question for those with backyard play sets

We are thinking about getting a back yard play set (wooden structure), slide, swing, climbing things etc.... For those of you who have one do your kids use it alot or have they gotten bored and it is just taking up yard space?  My kids are 1.5 and 3.5 years.  Thanks

We got ours for DS1's 3rd birthday.  Now, we use it daily (a yr later), DS is 4, DD1 is 2.5. We just put swings up for E & G, so they use it daily also.  We spent about $400 on it, and we wish now we had bought a bigger one/one with more activities (which we will likely do in 2-3 more years).

We got one for our kids last fall and set it up this spring.  We bought a bigger one from Sams.  My kids are 1.5 and 3.5 and LOVE it.  I am so glad we bought it.  They have years and years of playtime left on this set.  I'd go for it.

We got ours when my oldest child was 18 months old, that was 8 years ago.  They still play on it.

Yes, I have one. I have a son whose 2.5 Years old he loves it. I'm pregnant with baby # 2. I know he will enjoy it too.

We got one last year when ds turned 2. He still uses it all the time and now dd loves it too.

We got our set (huge thing) last spring.  Our DD was 2 at the time.  She's nearing 4 now and still plays on it almost every day.  The neighbor kids come over to play on it, too.

We have a small plastic (Step 2) swingset that we got when DD was 2 years. She plays on it more now than she did at 2. We're just not home a lot to use it.

I have my eye on one of these sets in a couple years... so when baby is 2 yrs and DD is 6 yrs. They're crazy expensive. I ordered a catalog just to see, and the ones I like are in the $14k range. DH and my brother think they can use the designs and build a similar set for a ton less. Personally, I just love the bridge over the swings. My mom built a swingset for us when we were kids, and I remember playing on it all the time in elementary school.

We have one of these swing sets. My 3yo loves it. Plays on it everyday and it is sturdy enough that I am confident that it will last through more kids (when we finally have them). I think that they are definately worth the investment.
