Thank you so much for posting the info on the Mazda 5! I think I have found my next vehicle! We have an Explorer currently and while I secretly admire my friend's new Sienna but I think the only features that I REALLY love are the captain seat and the sliding doors. The Mazda 5 has both!!! We are done having kids so I am not too worried about seating but I think this would work! Now I just have to sweet-talk DH:-)

I love my 5. Go for it! We never use the third row seat so that leaves me tons of cargo room. And it's so easy to get the kids in and out.

Agreed. We usually keep the back row folded down, which gives you a huge trunk, but the seats are so easy to pop back up for people to ride back there. Definitely see if you can take one for a test drive. We actually did an extended test drive and kept it overnight and that sealed the deal for us. It's really a great car. We always joke that if we won the lottery, we'd get rid of our other car, a sedan, and get another Mazda 5.
