We chose this early on in the pregnancy, I am now 28 weeks... But now I'm reconsidering.
DH is away right now and probably won't be back until after she is born... but I am going to see him next weekend and want to come prepared with ideas, since I won't even be bringing up the fact I want to change her name until I see him in person. I'm pretty nervous to bring it up with him!
I really like Callie, Macy, and Lila. DH does NOT like Grace, Ella, Ava. Our last name starts with an H, one syllable, and has an A sound (as in the word raise).
I like Belle, but am not sure if it really flows as a middle name for any of these.
I would love any suggestions using Kaylee, Callie, Macy, Lila, Belle, and any you want to throw in!! I'm just not sure that I like Summer enough. It sounds pretty, but I never would have guessed it would be my daughters name.
Re: might change name... currently kaylee summer
I would not go with Kaylee- I am not a fan of the name (it just sounds sooo cutesy to me) but also if your last name has the long ay sound I think kAYlee HAY (?) is too much rhyme. Same with Macy.
I think pps suggestion of Lila Belle is cute. Callie is nms at all but I do like Calliope or Callista. I think Summer is lovely but sure I like it as a first name. Since your last name is 1 syllable I would also choose a first name with 2 or more syllables. Other suggestions:
Sabrina Belle, Serena June, Ellen Maria, Tabitha Belle, Trula Justine, Gemma Lucille, Katrina Lauren, Francesca Lynn, Diana Scarlett, Penelope Rose, Corrinne Marie

I like Lila too.
Kaylee Summer.... I don't know how to describe it, but it just says "cliche" to me.

I like all your choices (minus Summer). Kaylee is probably my least favorite, but it's a nice name.
Some ideas from the names you mentioned:
Lila Belle
Kaylee Belle
Macy Lila
Lila Macy
Other ideas:
Callie Beth
Macy Claire
Kaylee Gabrielle
Lila Rose
Belle Madeleine
I love the name Summer. Really dislike Kaylee, the spelling is just too uneek and cutesy.
My favorite on your list is Callie. Love it. Macy and Lila are cute too.
OMG, Lila is 1000 times better than any other name on the list. Please, please name your daughter this.
Kaylee Summer sounds like a stripper to me. Callie is ok but I can't imagine an adult professional woman named Macy.
LIla Belle is a very good name.
Thanks for all the replies, its really helpful!!! So many of your suggestions are great, but I know how picky DH is... bummer!
Lila is actually my middle name, and my grandmother's name.
I loved the suggestion Lila Belle, but am not sure how my DH will feel about it... I've never suggested Belle and he is SO picky... which is why I settled for Kaylee Summer in the first place. I didn't hate it, and neither did he. Lol. But crossing my fingers that he likes it!
I like Callie Belle, not sure if it was suggested, but do you think it flows well? Callie Belle ...(sounds like Raise). Opinions??
Lila Katherine... I like it! Well DH is irish, so he may spring for that, but he's not a fan of traditional names so not sure... also, my other grandmother's name is Katherine so its definitely something to think about. Although there have been some recent issues with her, and actually, DH has never met her.
Callie Summer.... cute at first, but it sounds like "Cali summer" and we live in California... too cheesy haha.
BizEB.. maybe if I tell DH that people think it sounds like a stripper name, he will be more apt to want to change it!! haha.
What about Callie Marie, or Lila Nicole?
Nicole is DH's sisters middle name, Marie has no significance but has a ring to it with Callie, I think?
Also....
Is it wierd to give Lila as a first name while it is my middle name?
My stepson shares his dad's middle name, my stepdaughter has her mother's.. but to go from my middle name to her first? Is it crossing the line?
If only I were having a boy.... Brady Nicklas. It was picked out before I was even preggo!
I really love the suggestion Callista, you could use Callie as a nn.
Callista Summer
Callista Belle
