Anyone have experience with pertussis/whooping cough?

As as adult? How long did the chest pain linger once the major coughing stage seemed to be over?

I don't remember how long I was in pain from coughing, but I had whooping cough in college and coughed for 3-4 months. It sucked so bad!

I had it last year - awful!! The chest pain seemd to linger for about two weeks.  I thought I may have broken a rib it hurt so bad.  feel better!

That's two weeks after I stopped coughing alltogether.  My doc prescribed these pills called Deslym Pearls or "Something" Pearls (Bubbly would know) to help with the cough and they were a godsend!  my chest/ribs hurt so much from coughing it was nuts!
