I know I already shared a photo of the invite, but I got the printed ones yesterday, and I just loved how the envelopes turned out, so I thought I'd share. I printed the polka dot pattern that I made for the invite, and then I made a template with the cheerio box for the shape so I could easily trace it onto the paper. Cut them all out and glued them inside. You could do this with any patterned scrapbooking paper.
And while I was taking the invite photos, I thought I'd grab one of the kids' room to show you girls since you all helped me decide what to do in there. I still want to get some photos of them to hang in there. I was thinking I'd do 4 10x10's right about this shelf and then hang the prints on the wall to the left, next to Cohen's crib. My husband built that shelf, and it fits perfectly in there. Love the storage in the baskets and having a place for bedtime books, too.
And just a couple close ups:

Re: sharing some photos- some room pics & more invites
So cute and honestly, I love everything. The colors on the invite are so vibrant and the room is so fresh looking!
I'm confused about the Cheerio box thing. How did you use that for the template?
You have such great ideas! I love how the envelopes and invitations came out. So cute!!
The room looks adorable too. All the colors look great. I know you posted the etsy seller for the ABC wall art but would you mind telling me again? Also, where did you get the white frames to put them in? I am thinking I could put those in our playroom and they would be really cute!
yodajo - I traced the shape of the envelope on a piece of paper, and then trimmed the edges until it was small enough to fit inside, just under the glue on the envelope. Then, when I got it right, I traced that onto the cardboard and used that as my template. It is easier to trace with the heavier cardboard. Sorry, should have explained that better, but I was trying to be short!
Mrs.Tony - The seller was modernpop.
I see now! Great idea!
I will have to pick your brain when it gets closer to Sam and Max's birthdays. You should start a party planning blog or store!
I absolutely love it all!!
